Common Artists Statements

Does this sound like you?

My confidence is at an all time low. I feel really bad about myself.

Everyone else seems to be doing so well and I’m not.

I know I am capable of so much more, but I can’t seem to get out of my own way.

I feel really out of control in my life.

I used to love acting, singing, dancing, etc. Somehow that love and passion isn’t there any more. I wish I could get it back.

I wish I could accomplish the goals I set out for myself, but they never seem to get done.

I want to have a family, but I’m not in a place yet in my career where I feel like I can have those things.

I’ll never have the life I dreamed of. I feel like a failure.

All this 'left brain' pressure is weighing on your creative 'right brain' self

These are not uncommon thoughts or feelings to be having as an artist. I can say first hand, I have felt almost all of these statements.   I truly believe to be an artist doesn’t mean you have to be tortured, un-happy, or lost.   Somewhere along the way the world told you that you and your art are not enough, unless you are making money, famous, acclaimed, or whatever else.  Not to say that you won’t be!!  But all this ‘left-brain’ pressure is weighing on your creative ‘right-brain’ self.  Who can create anything under all that pressure? No one.  That is why coaching is such a unique and powerful tool for artists!  It can shift you away from these judgmental thoughts and into a place of peace, passion and confidence again.

It was recommended through a mutual friend to seek Rachel's coaching out and give it a try. The single best decision I have come to over this past year! Do not miss out on this woman's extraordinary empathy, intuitive insights, and superlative support. The manner by which she elicits the best version of me, week after week, challenging me to discover new depths and empowering me to reach beyond myself, surpasses all material value. The impression she has left upon my life shall be carried with me in all the successes my path now moves towards. Spend one hour with her and you will witness the wonderment of her technique

Working with Rachel was an incredibly clarifying process, one which allowed me to find my ultimate truths. Her warm & gentle manner was part friend, part positive reinforcer, 100% professional & always wonderfully supportive. I have seen my life turn many remarkable corners since coaching with Rachel. My recommendation comes very highly.

About Rachel

LIFE COACH, ARTIST, DREAMER

To put it simply I’m an artist who loves artists.

  • The Coach

I was in funk, and I was tired of sitting around with other artists all wallowing in our funkiness together. I wanted to be apart of the solution. I wanted to see hope, and help others see hope again. I became an ICF Certified Coach from The Institute For Professional Excellence In Coaching. It changed my life. Not only do I get to work with incredibly inspiring individuals daily, but it has helped me know how to nurture and care for my own creative soul. Coaching rocks! I hope you’ll take the plunge, it’s worth it! Let me be your ear, your cheerleader, and your life advocate. As your coach I will support, push and encourage you on your path. Together we will clean out whatever chaos is blocking you from leading your very best life.

  • The Artist

I fell in love with the arts at a very young age. I loved how they gave you a moving experience and an escape from your life. I wanted to be apart of that magic. I sang, I danced, I auditioned for every play I could. I loved it more then anything. I was lucky enough to have parents who said “go for it!” I took my passion, moved to New York, and earned a BFA in Performing Arts. I’ve been doing it ever since. Through the work I’ve done as a coach, and being coached myself, my creative life has continued to flourish in ways I never imagined. This year my fiancé and I got our feature film made! Coaching works!

  • The Dreamer

I’m a glass half full kind of girl. I like to see the world from all angles without judgment. I truly believe that somewhere there is a gift in even the hardest of times. I believe we have a choice to be happy. That’s where I like to move my clients out of the darkness and into that light. There will always be bad days, terrible in fact, but we all have the strength to choose the more inspired path. Isn’t the ultimate goal to live a life well lived. A present life, not one stuck in the past, or stuck in the future, but one that’s focused on enjoying today.

Why should I be your coach?

I understand the highs and lows of living a creative life.   The disappointments and rejections can feel crippling at times, and that’s why having a coach can really empower you in this industry.  To be an artist, put simply, is To Be You. That is who you are. You are a creative being. I am 100% sure when you fell in love with your art, there was nothing depressing about it. As children we just play, our minds are able live in a fearless ‘right-brain’ place which allows us to create, and be free without judgment.  How great would it be to get back to that place?
